The much awaited Motorola x has been finally decided to launched on 8th July in Indian market.
The phone was rumored to appear at Google I/O and the latest news is that it continues to have the handset getting introduced during Google’s developer conference in May. The phone would be launched Via Verizon as per the contract. Just the same way that the Google Play Store offers the Google Nexus 4 at an off-contract price, the Motorola X might be available from Google as well.
The phone bootloader will be locked via Big Red; instead you can get it unlocked at a nominal price of $15 a month. But if you buy the phone from the Google Play Store, the bootloader will come unlocked so that could be the deal.
One thing to keep in mind that Motorola X is not a Nexus handset which means that it might contain some bloatware will ultimately get removed once the phone is unlocked; sources said that it might contain multiple carriers. Pricing for the Motorola X is unknown although it would not be much different from Verizon’s price.
This handset is going to be the first Motorola handset to get feature input from Google since the latter acquired the OEM in 2011. The device has a 5 inch edge-to-edge capacitive screen, like the MOTOROLA DROID RAZR M, and have Android 5.0, Key Lime Pie, pre-installed out of the box.
The most awaited and updated phone via android platform.
Keep in mind that this is still speculation, coming from someone who apparently has leaked some Motorola news before. Still, May can’t get here fast enough.
